I want to express how people are increasingly addicted to technology, devices, and artificial intelligence in today’s world. In my drawing, a man is deeply immersed in a VR headset, with the vibrant colors of the lens illustrating the joy he experiences in the virtual world. The brightness of his clothing and the vividness of the VR lens create a striking contrast with his messy kitchen background. Although he can afford the expensive VR headset, his surroundings suggest neglect. I used cutting circles and long rectangles to mimic static on a television screen, raising the question: Is the world he inhabits the real one, or is he lost in a virtual reality, unaware of his surroundings?
